Hurray! She is here.
Mini-Me aka Piper arrived with some dramatic flair on Tuesday, October 24 at 9:45 pm. After four days of on and off contractions that I have been told were "false labor" but can assure you were "real" uncomfortable the doctor finally decided we should induce and get the show on the road. Piper had other ideas...and ultimately we had to have a c-section - because basically...the baby kept playing with the umbilical cord and scaring all of us by dropping her heart rate, my blood pressure kept going UP and she just wasn't making any moves to come out. During surgery we discovered that was because of the position she was in..."Sunny Side Up" which, I hope ultimately describes her personality as well! :)
